The art of psyanky
Eloïse recently attended a pysanky workshop organised by the Ukrainian community in Cambridge. An event where plenty of people, both young and old, gathered to decorate these eggs.
A tool is used to apply hot beeswax to the eggs, which is then dipped in dye, starting with the lightest colour and repeated for each colour in the design. The wax is then melted off at the end to reveal the final design!
