Cambridge City FC announces local agency Postscript as official Marketing Partner

Cambridge City FC is delighted to announce local agency Postscript as its official Marketing Partner. With the move to a purpose-built new stadium in Sawston imminent, this is a pivotal season for the Football Club, and consistent and effective Marketing will be crucial to success on the pitch and commercially behind the scenes.

The partnership will see Philip Saich and the Postscript team work with General Manager Alice Dewey, Media & Communications Director Sean Coxon and Marketing Executive Ben Saich to create and implement a Marketing plan. This will include strengthening the Cambridge City FC brand, redesigning and rebuilding the Club’s website and improving the key communication channels.

Alice Dewey, Cambridge City FC’s General Manager, welcomed the partnership as a positive step forward for the Club off the pitch. ‘We’re really pleased that a respected and established local Marketing agency such as Postscript has stepped forward to support us in this way,’ commented Alice. ‘Every non-league football club relies largely on volunteers so it’s very gratifying to know that Postscript will be working with us going forward to improve our Marketing offering, starting with our website. We’re a hugely ambitious Club and we’re confident that this partnership will enable us to generate additional sponsorship income and other commercial revenue in what is a very competitive market.’

For Philip Saich, Postscript’s Managing Director, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute even further to the Cambridge community. ‘As a Cambridge-based creative agency now into our 27th year of trading, we’re always looking to support local businesses and sports clubs in developing their Marketing and communications,’ said Philip. ‘Having become involved with the Club during the close season, it was a natural step to offer to deepen our relationship by delivering Marketing support and redesigning and rebuilding the Club’s website to maximise the commercial opportunities that the move to Sawston will provide. We can’t wait to get going, so watch this space for future updates on progress.’

I worked with Philip over a period of months as we came out of the pandemic and found him to be friendly, supportive and helpful. We built up a good working relationship and he was always on hand to answer any questions I had. I was more than happy to hand over the marketing responsibilities to Philip and was very pleased with my new website which Postscript designed and the support offered was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend Philip and Postscript to small businesses looking for marketing support.
